Bald Face

You know what's really awesome?

I went to the sauna the other day and noticed you could get threading done, which is a hair removal method. I've known some people who thread their eyebrows and they always look really perfect, so I decided to try it. I pointed to my eyebrows and tried to communicate through charades that's what I wanted: eyebrow threading.

Well.

I got my whole effing face threaded. I mean, I do still have eyebrows. But she removed ALL the hair on my face. Even on my forehead. And neck. And cheeks. I really didn't know I had that much hair there, cause well, it was practically invisible. But threading hurts, so I knew. Now my face is bald and feels really weird and it hurt and my eyebrows just look okay.

That's all.

I'm living in Seoul now and I've been trying to find a place that does eyebrow threading. I read about the Dragon Hill Spa that does threading, but now I think they may be thinking of that instead. Have you found out any place that does normal threading?

Hmm...this is really the only threading experience I've had in Seoul and it wasn't particularly good so I've never tried again. I haven't personally seen other places that do it, but I'm sure tons of other saunas offer it. Just be careful they don't skin your entire face! lol, good luck!

I actually want to get rid of the peach fuzz on my face. Where is this sauna?

This one is located in Wolgok. It's the huge jimjilbang visible from the subway station - I'm pretty sure it's called Wolgok Health World or something like that..? But I'm fairly certain most Korean saunas offer a threading service, so just check out your local jimjilbang.
