Another weekend is coming to a close and on this quiet Sunday night I'd like to do a little recap. In the last month or so, my life plans have changed again (as those feisty devils are wont to do). I'll be traveling sooner than I thought, and with friends. We'll make the traditional loop around Southeast Asia: Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The trip should last about 3 months, landing me back home sometime in August. The plan gets pretty murky at this point; employment and housing are the only clear items on the agenda. Let's hope poverty and despair aren't.
I've felt ready to leave Korea for a while now. There are so many great things about this place and all of the experiences I've had here - in no way could I ever discount any of it; nor do I want to. Things have run their course, though, and I'm ready and excited to move on. I want to enter the next chapter of my life, smilingly. I'm not gonna lie and say that I'm totally confident. I'm actually scared sh**less about a lot of things. Majorly. But I'm optimistic, and trying to stay that way.
Hey ho.
This weekend my girlfriends and I decided it was time for a little body modification. And by a little, I mean between the four of us we all got at least one piercing, and two of us got tattoos. No new tattoo for me, but I did get my nose redone and a couple of studs in my ears. It was fun. I like having an extra-shiny head again. Plus, 10 bucks for a safe, clean & legit nose piercing? The price was right.
Shine on! ♦
