Here's our itinerary. Starting in Bangkok, we'll make a counterclockwise loop through Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and then back to Thailand. The second phase (blue line) is a loop down through the islands in the south of the country. It's pretty epic, indeed.

Now, here's where things get extra exciting. As if that weren't ambitious enough, we'll be spending a final 2 weeks in the UK with Jayne. As I was browsing flights from Bangkok to home, I saw that a lot of them connect in London. That got me thinking...what if I could just extend that connection by a couple of weeks, allowing for the opportunity to see Jayne's hometown and more of the UK (Hello, Ireland and Scotland)? Well, the idea was a hit! We found some really good flights and the cost of getting back home in this roundabout manner is even cheaper than going straight from Bangkok to DC. Hell to the yea!
I know it might seem crazy, and I could be kicking myself by the time August rolls around (but I doubt it). I swear I'm not trying to squander all of my money. Just most of it...
This plan puts me back in the US of A on August 15th, probably poor but RICH in life experiences. Right?
Right.
