Last Day in Chiang Mai

This trip certainly has been full of new experiences. I'm really not sure if I could have done more throughout my travels. I rode an ostrich, an ATV, a motorbike, cuddled with full grown tigers, hiked down muddy cliffs, fed elephants, survived 24+ hours on a bus without food, drink, or a toilet...suffice it to say the list is pretty long. I am very proud and thankful to have experienced as much as I have this summer.

But...did you see anything snake-related on that list?

No?

Well, the situation has been REMEDIED! In case I hadn't had enough animal experiences, today we decided to visit a snake farm. Really, when you've been practically locked in a cage with an angry, hungry tiger, a few snakes are nothin'!

We'd rented a car for the day, so in addition to spending time with serpentine friends, we were also able to check out a nearby waterfall and an orchid farm, where I got to partake in one of my favorite pastimes: macro photos. Yes!

Yep, so that was our last day in Chiang Mai. Right now we're headed back to Bangkok for 2 more days in Thailand. I seriously can't believe this Asian trip is just about finished..! I've done a lot, yes, but it's gone so quickly. This Friday night I'll be en route to the next and last portion of my summer of travels: the UK.

End of Asian Adventure Extravaganza 2011 reflections coming soon...
